Summarize Your BA Approach

My BA approach starts with understanding the business problem, stakeholders, current process, pain points, and expected outcomes. Then I gather and analyze requirements, identify business rules, document workflows, clarify data and integration needs, and convert requirements into user stories, acceptance criteria, use cases, or functional specifications depending on the methodology.

I work closely with Product Owners, stakeholders, developers, QA, and UAT users to ensure requirements are clear, feasible, prioritized, testable, and traceable. I support backlog refinement, Sprint Planning, testing, defect triage, UAT, release readiness, and post-release validation.

My focus is not just documenting requirements, but ensuring the team builds the right solution and that the business can successfully accept and use it.

Explain Agile/Scrum and BA Role

Agile is a mindset focused on delivering customer value through collaboration, adaptability, feedback, and iterative delivery. Scrum is a lightweight Agile framework where a cross-functional Scrum Team delivers value in short Sprints using defined accountabilities, events, artifacts, and commitments.

As a BA in Scrum, I support the Product Owner and Scrum Team by refining backlog items, writing user stories and acceptance criteria, clarifying business rules, identifying dependencies, supporting Sprint Planning, answering requirement questions during the Sprint, reviewing test scenarios, supporting defect triage, capturing Sprint Review feedback, and helping with UAT. My goal is to make stories clear, valuable, small, and testable so the team can deliver business value every Sprint.

Explain Testing, UAT and Release Readiness

As a BA, I support testing by ensuring requirements are clear, complete, and testable. I work with QA to review test scenarios, clarify expected results, business rules, validations, role permissions, data rules, and end-to-end workflows. During defect triage, I help compare actual behavior against requirements and acceptance criteria, clarify whether an issue is a defect or change request, and explain business impact.

For UAT, I help prepare UAT scenarios, coordinate business users, support test data and access readiness, clarify expected results, track UAT progress, support defect logging, and help obtain business sign-off.

For release governance, I help confirm requirement coverage, testing status, UAT sign-off, open defects, known issues, risks, workarounds, release notes, and business readiness. I also support Go/No-Go discussions, post-deployment validation, and hypercare by helping validate business-critical flows and triage production issues.
